As you may or may not have noticed I have turned one year older today. Sadly birthdays no longer hold any real meaning to me as they once did, when I got presents and cake and presents and special meals and presents and cake. Oh, I still get the cake, but the presents, well, they just aren't as nice anymore since I stopped getting Lego sets. Ah, good times...
Anyway, enough about me being one step closer to the grave, and on to updates!
Sooooo... yeah... I got nothing.
My fanfiction is still going, which itself is now a year and two months old and going on to its seventeenth chapter and over 420k words long now. Buck me... how did I ever get this far? www.fimfiction.net/story/10418…

Oh, and finally I will be going to Bronycon this year. I'm soooo excited! Are you excited?! So if any of you are going and see a tall slightly round fellow with five o clock shadow, wearing a Pinkie Pie themed shirt, carrying a WeLoveFine bag for swag, and the name badge of Stormcaller, that's me!!

Updates and Bronie Documentary

I work in retail and Xmas is hell on earth for us. So I take a month away from putting out new chapters for my story. Okay, so I won't be in a hurry, and I should be able to get caught up in my writing during this time, after all I won't be putting out another chapter till the end of January. Huzzah! I can get a chapter or two ahead again!!
Curse you Skyrim.

I only get a single chapter finished in a month and a half. Okay, granted I decided to split the chapter into two, otherwise it'd be 60k words and I'm pretty sure my editors would kill me. No problem. I've gotten 40k chapters finished in a month, this should be no issue.
Skyrim.
Curse you...
Oh well, I'll just have to keep on the ball for this next year to insure a new chapter every month, after all at this rate it'll take me two more years to finish. And I really wanna start on some new projects!
Well, its been a few days since it came out, and I've watched it a coupe of times and I gotta say, I think they did a wonderful job with this. The interviews were good, the music was awesome and the fan animation was a blast to watch. And while I do wish we heard more from some of the actors and animators of the show, more from the big names of the fandom, and a little more detail, I am very content with what I got. It was well worth the money I shelled out for it.
Now, I've been seeing a fair number of people complaining about it. That's cool, everypony is allowed their opinion, it is after all a free country and a free fandom. Some however are kinda being a bit louder about it than simply voicing their view. Some are being a bit rude and unfair to the people who worked hard on this and gave their time for it.
Come on guys, really? Is this how we're going to thank the people who went out of their way to give us a hand? As for the more common complaints...
1. It doesn't talk about the show (either not enough or not at all). Um... mayyyybe I was looking away for like half the documentary or maybe I was watching a different documentary entirely, but I could a swore I heard them talking about the show. They touched a bit on the characters, they spoke to the Queen of the Bronies, Tara Strong, and nearly everyone interviewed brought up why the show is good. Either the animation, the voice acting or the music. There was also clips from the show, something that surprised me. Thanks for allowing that, Hasbro. Okay, sure they didn't spend an hour detailing everything about the show, the characters, the world, the villains, but that wasn't the point of this. It was suppose to focus on the fandom.
2. Some say it doesn't cover enough about the fandom (either not enough detail or lacking somethings completely). Well, Duh! The point of the documentary was to give those outside the fandom a better idea of what we're all about. It was to give our side of what has been a largely one sided story. We're all freaks. We're all monsters. We're all gay. That's what a lot of folks think of us.
3. Another complaint is that they didn't spend enough time on every aspect of the fandom. Again, Duh! They touched on the art, the music, the fanfiction and the meetups. They didn't explain all the different types of fanfictions we do, grimdark, slice of life, romance, etc. They likely wouldn't have enough time to cover everything.
4. They didn't cover clop! Really? Your going to complain about that? Yeah, that's it, we're done here.
Lastly... curse you Skyrim...

Well, last weekend when I updated my little story over at FimFiction www.fimfiction.net/story/10418… image my surprise when it got featured!
For a whole hour before I got bumped. lol
Oh well, it earned me another couple watches and my first thumbs down! I'm so excited someone actually thumbed down my story!!!

Its been awhile...

Wow, it has been awhile since I last updated this thing hasn't it?
Well, that's mostly because there's been so little to update anyone who's tracking me on. I'm afraid my life is quite dull.
For those following my story over at FimFiction, Chapter 11 just got published a bit ago, and Chapter 12 is getting edited like a boss. I'm unsure when I'll be posting it, since I'm attempting to maintain a 1 chapter lead on those published and those being edited. Chapter 13 has proven oddly difficult and after only a week and a half of writing is sitting a little under 8000 words. I must do better! Luckily I have today off and plan on doing something about the low word count.
I've at last broken free of Mass Effect 3, not because I beat the game (I still have to play through part 2) but because I have everything in the multiplier part of the game. All the gear, characters and nearly every weapon. Only things I am missing are the Ultra Rares and the Promo weapons. I'll still be playing, since I am in a race with a local friend, we're seeing who can get the highest N7 score, and we're in the lower 2000's atm.
I'm really behind in my fan fiction, I haven't read anything from Project Horizons in a couple months, I'm about five or six chapters behind, along with a few other FOE side stories I read. On vacation next week, so maybe I'll catch up than... when I'm not playing Borderlands 2 that is.
As for art, well, don't expect anything new from me for a bit, my focus is on my story and what little social interaction I have with other people (friendship is magic after all), I am looking to buy a new Tablet PC with a larger screen and some art stylus for it so I may get back into drawing Perks after that.
Well, time to get back to work!
